Voters in Greenville can weigh in on plans for a community park.
The town will hold an advisory referendum on the $6.5 million project on August 11th.
The park would be along Wisconsin Avenue, west of Highway 76. Administrator Joel Gregozeski says it would have a swimming beach, splash pad, playground, athletic fields, and recreational trails.
The project would cost property owners 52 cents per $1,000 of value, over 10 years. That’s $52 a year for every $100,000.
Gregozeski says town leaders bought the land 14 years ago with plans for a community park.
