Some Green Bay business owners closed their doors early last night to protect against vandals after several businesses were hit Sunday night.
Some of those businesses only reopened a week ago. Elizabeth Feldhausen is the founder of Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary on Broadway. They’ve been closed for three months because of the pandemic and were supposed to hold a grand reopening today. She says they put up plywood to protect the animals inside and then decided to evacuate.
Several other business owners along Washington Street put plywood over their windows and removed valuables. Some restaurants also closed early to protect customers and staff.
