Algoma Police are releasing the name of the man who drowned in the Ahnapee River last Friday.
Chief Randy Remiker says Gustavo Aldama Cuellar was drinking that night and crashed his car into a parked trailer on the side of the road. He says video from a nearby business shows Cuellar walking east and into the river. Remiker says Cuellar appeared to be very drunk. His body was recovered the next day. Autopsy results are pending but Remiker believes the drowning was accidental.
