Appleton police say a boy was arrested, after having what turned out to be a look-a-like handgun in Erb Park last night.
They say he was in the pavilion when officers got there, and he initially walked away.
Police arrested him, and during the process, they say the boy tried to hurt himself. He was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries
Police released him to a guardian, and his case will be sent to juvenile court.
