The types of items being recycled, and where they come from, has changed in Brown County, during the pandemic.
Brown County Port and Resource Recovery Business Manager Mark Walter says the amount of items has stayed the same, because residential recycling has gone up nearly 17 percent. He says businesses didn’t have as much, because many were closed during the “safer at home” order.
Walter says typically businesses recycle heavier items, like glass bottles and cardboard, while homes have more plastic and aluminum.
