Beavis And Butt-Head are returning for two more seasons. The show’s ninth and tenth season will be airing on Comedy Central, moving from its longtime home at MTV.
Creator Mike Judge said that he is going to bring the metalheads into a whole new Gen-Z world adding, “It seemed like the time was right to get stupid again.” Judge will write, produce, and voice both Beavis and Butt-Head.
According to Chris McCarthy, President of Entertainment & Youth Group:
“We are thrilled to be working with Mike Judge and the great team at 3 Arts again as we double down on Adult Animation at Comedy Central. Beavis and Butt-Head were a defining voice of a generation, and we can’t wait to watch as they navigate the treacherous waters of a world light-years from their own.”
No release date has yet been announced for the new Beavis & Butt-Head seasons. Beavis & Butt-Head first aired in 1993 before getting canceled in 1997. MTV brought the show back in 2011 to air its eighth season but the show wasn’t renewed for additional seasons.
