The state set a single-day record for new confirmed coronavirus cases for the third straight day.
There are 926 more cases, topping yesterday’s high of 845 and Thursday’s total of 754.
It’s also the fourth time in eight days the state set a new single-day record. Fourteen days ago, there were 457 new cases.
The state has now had 35,679 confirmed cases.
The percentage of positive tests went up for the fourth straight day, to 7.7 percent. Yesterday’s figure was 6.7 percent and Thursday’s was 5.7 percent.
There are 6,944 active cases, and that’s 339 more than yesterday. For the first time since the state started tracking the percentage of recovered cases, it went down one percent, to 78 percent.
Over the past 14 days, the number of active cases has jumped by more than 1,900.
Hospitals are treating 265 COVID-19 patients, and that’s nine fewer than yesterday.
There have been 821 confirmed deaths, and that’s seven more.
Brown County has 53 new cases, the highest single-day total since May 10th.
Outagamie has 18 more, and Fond du Lac 10.
Calumet, Manitowoc and Waupaca all added eight. Kewaunee has six new cases, and Winnebago five.
Shawano and Oconto each have three more. Green Lake added one.
