The manager of Congressman Glenn Grothman’s campaign says a dry throat led to a coughing fit at the state Republican Party convention.
Grothman started coughing uncontrollably after shouting President Trump’s name, and a video clip is drawing nationwide attention.
The GOP lawmaker from Glenbulah was speaking with about 300 people in the crowd at the KI Convention Center in Green Bay on Saturday.
Campaign manager Alec Hanna says Grothman’s dry throat hasn’t lingered, and he doesn’t have other COVID-19 symptoms.
