Spending on the state Supreme Court race in the spring set a record.
Outside groups and the three candidates shelled out about $10 million.
Incoming liberal justice Jill Karofsky spent $2.7 million, and that’s a record for a single candidate. Along with conservative outgoing Justice Daniel Kelly and liberal challenger Ed Fallone, they went through a combined $5 million.
A Better Wisconsin Together Political Fund was the top spender, using $1.9 million to support Karofsky.
