There have been six confirmed cases of a rare illness in children that’s connected to COVID-19.
Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children can cause inflammation in parts of the body. They include the heart, lungs, kidneys, and brain.
Dr. Ryan Westergaard of the Department of Health Services says all six had to be hospitalized, and two still are in a hospital. He reports four of the kids were under 10 years old, and two were between 10 and 15.
