At least two Sheriffs in the state say they won’t enforce the mask mandate.
Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt believes there are “legal difficulties” with the order. He says they have limited staffing, and that people shouldn’t call the Sheriff’s Department if someone isn’t wearing a mask.
The Washburn County Sheriff in northwest Wisconsin also won’t enforce it.
