A Brillion man accused of violating the “Safer at Home” order to meet what he thought was an underage girl for sex will stand trial. Matthew Wieting (why-ting) waives his right to a preliminary hearing in Outagamie County Court on charges of using a computer to facilitate a sex crime and violating a health order. Wieting is accused of arranging to meet a 15-year old girl in Kimberly for sex back in April. The girl turned out to be an undercover police officer. He will enter a plea to the charges on October 6th.
