The Oshkosh School District will start the year with a mix of in-person and on-line instruction.
The School Board approved a plan that calls for students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade to be in class all five days a week. Students in sixth thru 12th grades would alternate in person and on-line learning every other day. The Oshkosh teachers union opposes the plan. Officials want all virtual learning to start the year. But board members like Allison Garner believe that kids need to be in the classroom. A survey of Oshkosh parents found that more than 80 percent want their kids back in class for the start of the school year.
