About 50 veterans have gift cards, thanks to the Door Peninsula chapter of the Marine Corps League.
Members handed them out at the veterans manor in Green Bay over the weekend. The vets will be able to use the cards at Festival Foods and Kwik Trip for groceries and gas.
Theresa Williams of the Center for Veterans Issues says food is a need for some. The veterans manor offers low-income housing.
De Pere’s Hope Lutheran Church also donated money to buy the gift cards.
