The head of the Environmental Protection Agency is in Green Bay today.
Administrator Andrew Wheeler tells Dave Edwards on AM Fox Valley he’s helping celebrate the completion of the 20-year PCB cleanup project on the lower Fox River. He says it’s taken a couple of decades, but they’re finally done.
Crews removed more than 6.5 million cubic yards of contaminated sediment, between Neenah and Green Bay. The project cost about $1 billion.
