Attorneys for a Missouri man accused of killing two brothers from the Seymour area are trying to have two charges dropped in the case.
Garland “Joey” Nelson is facing two counts of hiding a corpse, along with murder, in the deaths of Nick and Justin Diemel in July of last year. His attorneys argue a person charged with killing someone can’t also be charged with hiding a corpse.
Prosecutors say Nelson could have followed Missouri law, by anonymously reporting where the bodies were located.
The brothers went missing while on a business trip to collect money from Nelson.
