A referendum will be on the November election ballot for Grand Chute voters asking for money to pay for nine firefighter/paramedic positions.
The Town Board voted unanimously last night approving the referendum. Fire officials says the money will be used to staff three rotating 24-hour shifts with three people on at a time. They say the levy increase would amount to $5.72 a month for the owner of a $200,000 home.
