The Fox Valley Veterans Council is nearing a milestone.
President Jim Strong says over the past 10 years, the nonprofit has given nearly $1 million to local veterans. He says they’ve helped hundreds with their basic needs, including housing, food, transportation and education.
He says they’ve been around for over a decade but didn’t become a formal charitable organization until 10 years ago.
