The head of Prevea Health was hoping to see standard criteria for shifting between online and in-person classes included in a state agency’s guidelines for schools.
The Department of Health Services put together recommendations on how to deal with coronavirus outbreaks.
Dr. Ashok Rai tells Action 2 News school boards would probably like to have that information. He was hoping after setting a metric, that the state would update it, on a county level, so local districts would see where they stand.
Governor Evers has said he wants to leave the decisions on reopening schools to local school boards. The guidelines do urge districts to work with local public health officials on the response to an outbreak.
