A movie based on the final days of rock icon Chris Cornell will start filming during the first week of October. Black Days will star Johnny Holiday, also known as blues musician “Kid Memphis”. Holiday played Carl Perkins in the Johnny Cash film Walk the Line and appeared on CMT’s Sun Records TV series. His photo can be seen below. Due to Covid-19, the most actors will be filmed by themselves with a small crew, using masks and practicing social distancing.
In July, a previously unreleased studio recording of Chris Cornell covering Gun N’ Roses “Patience” was shared on what would have been the his 56th birthday. The song was recorded by Tom Syrowski and was mixed by Brendan O’Brien who has also worked with Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, and Stone Temple Pilots in the past. The video for that song can be seen below.
