Prosecutors are charging a Fond du Lac man with homicide, three years after a girl died from pneumonia.
Twenty-nine-year-old Thomas Abitz is in prison for child abuse, after he hurt the girl when she was two years old, in 2011.
Fond du Lac County prosecutors say the medical examiner and her pediatrician ruled the head injuries were connected to the pneumonia. Mckena Nett was eight years old.
Abitz was sentenced to 13 years in prison in the abuse case.
