Three people are suing Governor Evers over the statewide mask mandate.
Two are from Polk County, and the other is from St. Croix County, and they’re represented by the conservative law firm the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty. They argue Evers doesn’t have the authority to issue a second health emergency for the same crisis, so the mask mandate should be thrown out.
The mask rule took effect August 1st, and it’s scheduled to last until September 28th.
Wisconsin is one of 34 states to have a mandate.
