Governor Evers is defending the state’s response to the violence in Kenosha.
He says they’ve provided everything the leadership in city has requested over the past several days. The governor says he’s confident the state met its obligations.
He adds of course he wishes it wouldn’t have turned out the way it did. The governor calls the destruction in the city “unacceptable.”
Evers visited Kenosha yesterday for the first time since a police officer shot Jacob Blake. He says he’s impressed by the resiliency of the community.
