Republican U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson of Oshkosh is calling it a “sad state of affairs” that Governor Evers is asking President Trump to stay out of Wisconsin.
Trump plans to come to Kenosha tomorrow.
The governor sent him a letter, raising concerns that Trump’s presence would only hinder the community’s healing.
Johnson says it’s time to support law enforcement and the people of Kenosha. He says it’s not the time to encourage activities that will keep Kenosha boarded up and shut down.
