There are 981 more confirmed coronavirus cases in Wisconsin.
That’s the most in a single day since August 14th. It comes after there were 266 new cases yesterday, and that was the fewest since June 23rd.
The state is reporting 8.3 percent of tests were positive. That’s up from seven percent yesterday. The seven-day average rose to 8.5 percent.
There have now been 76,584 cases overall. The state has 7,534 active cases, and that’s 305 more.
Hospitals are treating 61 new COVID-19 patients, and 290 overall. Another 113 are waiting for test results.
Eight more people have died, bringing the overall total of confirmed deaths to 1,130.
Brown County has 93 new cases and Outagamie 74. That’s the most in a single day in Outagamie.
Fond du Lac added 37, Winnebago 27, Waupaca 21, Manitowoc 17, Calumet 11, and Waushara 10.
Shawano has eight more, Kewaunee seven, Green Lake two, and Oconto one.
