There’s a new way for people to report threats to school safety.
The state Department of Justice created a website with an around-the-clock reporting system. It’s called the Speak Up, Speak Out Resource Center.
Attorney General Josh Kaul says with a lot of students going to school online right now, they don’t have a lot of interaction with adults, so the site gives them another option to report something.
Students and parents can report issues ranging from cyber bullying to sexting and suicidal threats. There’s also an app and phone hotline.
The department used a federal grant to set it up.
