Disney+ announced that their series The Mandalorian will return for its second season beginning October 30th. Production for the second season wrapped up just a few days before the industry shut down production due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, it was a little trickier to pull off the post-production process while largely maintaining social distancing, as it is a labor-intensive task.

Pedro Pascal, Giancarlo Esposito, Carl Weathers, Gina Carano, and “Baby Yoda” or “The Child” will return for the second season with the addition of several other actors that have been reportedly cast in key roles for the show. Rumors have Rosario Dawson added to The Mandalorian as The Clone Wars fan-favorite Ahsoka Tano, Temuera Morrison, who played Jango Fett in the prequels, has signed on to appear in the show as well, possibly as bounty hunter Boba Fett. There has also been reports that Michael Biehn (The Terminator), Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) and Timothy Olyphant (Justified) are going to be part of the upcoming season as well.
The Mandalorian was nominated for 15 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series. While we wait for the second season trailer, the promo for season one can be seen below.
