There’s more talk about body cameras for police nationally and the head of the Wisconsin Police Association says there’s some gaps in a new state law about them signed earlier this year.
The Wisconsin Professional Police Association released a Blueprint for Change last week. Executive Director Jim Palmer says it addresses some gaps between how the cameras should be used and funding.
Green Bay’s mayor says they’re seriously considering buying body cameras for the police department. Police Chief Andrew Smith is in favor of that. He thinks storing data for 179 officers will be a challenge.
