The head of a group that advocates for women and girls believes its first virtual event went well.
Women’s Fund for the Fox Valley Region Executive Director Julie Keller says at any one time, about 400 people joined their annual luncheon last week. The event in downtown Appleton usually draws about 1,000.
Keller says they usually raise between $150,000 and $170,000. She doesn’t expect to reach those totals this year.
