All students in the Menasha school district will only have online classes, starting Friday.
Freedom High School is doing the same, beginning Monday.
Menasha Superintendent Chris VanderHeiden says coronavirus cases in the region are rising, and they need to prioritize safety. All K-12 students will have laptops to work at home.
VanderHeiden says they also have a learning management system they’re using now. He believes they’ll be able to provide a much better education to kids, than when they had to act quickly last spring.
Oshkosh West and North high schools are also shifting to all online classes on Wednesday.
Menasha and Oshkosh say the change will be in place indefinitely, and they’ll continue to follow the local numbers.
