Appleton is at the top of a list of the best places to raise kids.
SmartAsset ranked communities, based on things like activities for children and violent crime rates. Green Bay was second.
Mayor Jake Woodford also credits the educational opportunities, and the city’s parks.
Appleton was second on the SmartAsset list in 2018, and third in 2019.
The only other Wisconsin city in this year’s Top 10 was Madison, at seventh.
Last year, the company also called Appleton “The Best Place to Live on a $60,000 income.”
