A conservative law firm is asking a judge to block the public health emergency Governor Evers declared in July, and extended last week.
It includes the statewide mask order.
The Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty filed a lawsuit in Polk County in August on behalf of three people. A judge will take up the request for an injunction next Monday.
The group argues Evers doesn’t have the power to declare additional health emergencies for the same pandemic.
