A federal appeals court is keeping a six-day extension for absentee ballots to arrive at local clerks’ offices.
They would need to be postmarked by Election Day.
Majority Republicans in the Legislature asked the 7th Circuit Court to take the case, after a federal judge put the extension in place. They’re expected to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
The results from Wisconsin likely wouldn’t be known until six days after the election, if the extension remains in place.
