A Marinette County woman may not have to spend any more time behind bars for hiding her mother’s body so she could keep collecting the woman’s social security payments.
Sixty-one-year-old Paula Bergold will be on probation for seven years. If she violates her probation, a judge determined she could spend three years in prison and three years on probation.
She’ll have to continue with counseling, take any prescribed mediation, and stay away from alcohol.
Eighty-nine-year-old Ruby Bergold was found dead, after police went to check on her in September of last year.
