UW-Green Bay officials think a man may have acted in self defense during a confrontation on an Arboretum Trail.
University police were called around 6:45 p.m. about a man with a gun on the trail.
Officials think the man confronted two people about walking their dog on the trail. That’s not allowed. Officials say the man produced a gun after the dog growled at him, but didn’t threaten the people or point the gun at them. When the call came in, police issued an alert to students and staff advising them to stay inside.
