Mayfair Mall shooter charged as a juvenile

The teenager accused of shooting eight people at the Mayfair Mall in Wauwatosa last Friday is being charged as a juvenile. The 15-year old boy made his initial appearance in Waukesha County Court this morning. According to the juvenile petition, the boy was involved in a fight at the mall when he opened fire with a handgun. He remains in secure detention. Because he is being charged as a juvenile, we will not be using his name in our stories.
