A Florida woman discovered that what she thought was a stray cat or squirrel hiding out in her Christmas tree was actually something far more formidable.
Last Thursday Audrey Iscobelli was awakened by her dog barking and growling at something in her Christmas tree. She assumed it was a stray cat that came in through the doggy door… she was wrong.
Turns out it was a raccoon. And when the masked intruder finally revealed itself to Iscobelli and her dog, chaos erupted! The dog lunged at the raccoon, the tree went down, Audrey freaked out and the raccoon sought safe harbor in her chandelier for another half hour.
After chasing the raccoon around her house for an hour, it finally went back outside by using the dog door.
Iacobelli says her advice to others in a similar situation is to call Animal Control.
