Spotty ice conditions on Lake Winnebago

Our relatively mild winter has been bad news for ice fisherman. Don Herman at Sunk Dive and Ice Services says ice thickness on Lake Winnebago varies from two inches on the west side to six inches on the east side. Herman recommends against driving vehicles out there.  Local fishing clubs have not put out their bridges or marked roads on Lake Winnebago yet.
