An apparent shooting victim who crashed his car in Fond du Lac last Friday has died.
Police say 39-year-old David Posey died at a hospital Friday. An autopsy is scheduled for today.
Police say two people are in custody. A 30-year-old Fond du Lac man is behind bars on a probation hold. A 29-year-old Fond du Lac woman is being held on obstructing charges. Police aren’t saying how the two are connected to the investigation.
State and local authorities have searched a home at 28th 5th Street in connection with the investigation.
Posey crashed a car into a light pole around south Marr and Sheboygan streets around 2 a.m. Friday. Hospital staff found he had been shot in the leg.
