Laurie Carter will be the 17th president of Lawrence University. The school making the announcement today that Carter will succeed Mark Burstein when he retires on July 1st. Carter looks forward to improving equity on the Lawrence campus. She is currently President of Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania.
