With three coronavirus vaccines now available, Americans may want to choose which one they receive.
The new Johnson and Johnson vaccine requires just one dose but is less effective than the Pfizer and Moderna versions, which both require two shots. Deputy Health Services Secretary Julie Willems Van Dijk encourages people to get whichever shot is available.
Vaccinators have noted that they often don’t know until the day of a clinic which vaccine version they’ll be providing.
