Lightning Strikes Twice, Thunderstruck, Lightning Crashes, – heck even Greased Lightning – there’s no lack of lightning-themed songs in the pantheon of rock. You know that. But what you don’t know is where or when actual lightning will strike… only after.
The ‘after’ in this case is Wautoma High School.
In a video (below) submitted to FOX 11 from the school, the lightning bolt absolutely shatters the tree outside the school.
Wautoma High School Principal Jennifer Johnson told FOX 11 News:
“…the strike occurred shortly before 8:30 a.m. Thursday, just as ninth and 10th grade students were preparing to take the ACT Aspire test.”
Johnson said that thankfully no one was hurt during the strike.
Take it as a lesson learned of where not to stand when a storm approaches.
