Hasbro has joined forces with Robosen Robotics to create, arguably, the coolest action figure EVER: The Optimus Prime Auto-Converting Programmable Advanced Robot.
Unveiled last week at Hasbro Pulse Fan Fest, this incredible piece of geek-fantasy puts the leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime, in your hands and under your command.
At $700 it may be a bit on the pricey side of collectables but considering that its described as “the world’s most advanced and programmable toy robot ever made,” to a true Transformers fan, money means nothing. Robosen’s Optimus Prime can walk, drive, punch, and automatically transform via voice or mobile app commands.
Under the hood is an impressive array of machinery. It’s built with over 5,000 components, 60 microchips, and 27 servo motors. It’s 19-inches tall and comes equipped with 80 different sound effects, including clips from the character’s original voice actor, Peter Cullen.
You can preorder the Optimus Prime Auto-Converting Programmable Advanced Robot from Hasbro Pulse.
Orders are expected to ship on Aug. 2.
Here’s Jay and Silent Bob (aka Jay Mewes and Kevin Smith) geeking out and taking the new Optimus Prime toy for a literal test drive.
