The federal moratorium that kept landlords from evicting tenants ends tomorrow.
The head of a nonprofit that serves the homeless in the Fox Cities expects an increase of activity and people displaced from housing. Pillars Executive Director Joe Mauthe says they’re already working with families.
Mauthe doesn’t expect an overall increase in homelessness because for every household evicted that opens up a place to live.
He’s waiting and watching to see how aggressive landlords will be now that they have the ability to evict tenants.
