During a live report at a boat landing in Springfield, Illinois, reporter (Jakob Emerson) was doing a story about a battle between local government and water rights conservationists when a GMC truck in the background stole the shot…. and the story.
The truck was idling waiting for a boat to trailer onto, when it just started slipping backwards towards the water until it was fully underwater. As the helpless owners looked on, the truck became fully submerged in seconds and went from GMC truck to Wisconsin Dells Duck.
The reporter got a two for one story with the last being the most important.
But I’m sure the water conservationists weren’t happy with the result of having a truck dirty up their pristine waterway.
I’d assume the truck owner was not pleased either.
