A man that tried to stab two Grand Chute police officers will remain in a mental institution. Liam Donaldson was found “not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect” on two counts of attempted first degree intentional homicide and was committed. He had requested supervised, conditional release–but that was denied by an Outagamie County judge. The incident took place in February of 2019–where Donaldson lunged at officers that responded to a domestic disturbance–striking one of them in his radio and body camera with the knife.
