A couple of gorillas decided to take their love public and get down with the ‘go down in front of some shocked onlookers.
The footage shows the salacious-simian-servicing taking place in full view of the observation window as onlookers laugh, cry and turn their children away unable to really explain what monkey business is going on.. or down…
The ape fellatio (‘ape-latio’, ‘congo-lingus’ ???) happened at the Bronx Zoo in front of aghast zoo-goers and their kids and even the photographer who said, “I was shocked and had no idea that was a ‘natural’ act.”
But just because it doesn’t happen in your marriage/relationship anymore doesn’t mean you should be surprised other primates don’t pay lip service to each other – according to the BBC, it’s more natural than most would think.
Great ape fellatio may seem unorthodox, but it’s really not. Oral sex is actually fairly common throughout the animal kingdom with sightings of species ranging from cheetahs to bears and bats engaging in the salacious act, In fact, many species engage in sex for pleasure. Bonobos — also known as hippie apes — have infamously kinky sex lives.
Dian Fossey’s career observing gorillas in the wild makes a lot more sense now.
