The family of a Manawa man is carrying on his legacy of helping others following his tragic death last week in Utah.
Tyler Droeger was on a four thousand mile bike ride across the Southwest to raise awareness of hunger in the Navajo Nation when he was hit by the driver of a passing SUV. His aunt Jenny Whitefield says the 27-year-old was quite a kid.
Droeger launched a GoFundMe page to raise $4,000 for the cause. Donations stood at about $1,600 when he died. Since his death last Wednesday more than $13,000 has been raised.
