The classic Mel Brooks movie History of the World Pt. 1 came out in 1981. Although the movie had a part one according to Mel Brooks there was never a plan to make a part 2. Now though at the age of 95, he has confirmed that part 2 is officially coming. Instead of a movie thought it will be an 8 episode series on Hulu.

Mel will be the Executive producer and head writer for the show. Wanda Sykes and Nick Kroll have also signed on as producers and writers for the series. The writing begins this month with production set to start in spring of 2022.
