Around this time of year here in Wisconsin, drivers have to be very vigilant to the migration of deer.
Over the past 5 years, reported crash data shows over 19,000 deer are killed annually by vehicles on Wisconsin roadways.
Apparently the same holds true in the garden state of New Jersey.
A dramatic video shows a deer jumping into a pack of cyclists on a charity ride in rural New Jersey.
The footage was captured by Keith Bratcher Jr., who had a camera mounted on his bike.
The deer/bike incident occurred three miles into the ride.
The cyclist who was hit was ok and the deer landed on the other side of the road and scampered into the distance.
Look for Steer Clear of Deer to become an upcoming ‘motto of the day’ on overhead electronic highway signs.
